NDIS Electrical Modification Completed in Bangholme

At Ferguson Electrical, we regularly work with NDIS participants, aged care clients, and support providers to deliver practical electrical solutions that improve safety, accessibility, and independence within the home.

For this recent project in Bangholme, we partnered with Supreme Care to complete a targeted electrical modification funded through the client’s NDIS care package.

The Challenge: Poorly Positioned Light Switch

The existing light switch was located behind a door, making it difficult to access — particularly for someone with limited mobility.

This type of layout can create unnecessary challenges in everyday tasks, especially when entering or exiting a room, and can increase the risk of discomfort or unsafe movement.

The Solution: Accessible & Practical Upgrade

To improve usability, we:

• Relocated and rewired the light switch to a more accessible position
• Installed a dimmer switch, allowing the client to easily adjust lighting levels

This simple but effective upgrade ensures the switch is now:

✔ Convenient to use
✔ Positioned for safer access
