Brightening a Bonbeach Home with Outdoor LED Lighting

Bringing more light to the garden

Outdoor lighting can make a difference to how you use your home after dark. For this Bonbeach project, the homeowners wanted to brighten the garden and the area along the side of their house.

Ferguson Electrical completed a targeted upgrade, adding a floodlight where extra coverage was needed and replacing an existing fitting with an LED model.

What we installed

The work included:

• An additional double-head floodlight around the side of the house.
• A replacement double-head LED floodlight in place of an existing fitting.
• Connection of the new side light to the existing floodlight’s switching, allowing both to operate together.

This approach built on the home’s existing lighting arrangement while adding light to another outdoor area.

Extra lighting along the side of the house

Side areas can be easy to overlook when planning outdoor lighting. Yet they often provide access between the front and back garden and need to be usable after sunset.

For this home, the additional double-head floodlight was installed around the side of the house to help illuminate that space. Linking it to the existing floodlight’s switch kept everyday operation straightforward, with both lights controlled together.

Updating an existing floodlight to LED

Alongside the new installation, we replaced an existing double-head floodlight with an LED fitting.

The project didn’t require a complete redesign of the garden lighting. Instead, it combined a replacement fitting with an additional light to address the areas the homeowners wanted illuminated.
