Brighter Benches, Softer Evenings: Under-Cabinet LED Upgrade in Edithvale

The brief

This Edithvale kitchen looked great… but the benches were stuck in the shadows. The owners wanted even task light for food prep and a soft evening glow that didn’t glare.

What we found (before)

The original setup left dark patches across the bench and threw harsh spots near the splashback. Cabling and mounting were due for a tidy refresh, and the colour temperature didn’t match the rest of the room.

Our fix (after)

We installed a warm-white LED strip (around 3000K) inside a low-glare aluminium channel with opal diffuser. That combo spreads light evenly, hides the individual LED dots and looks seamless under the cabinetry.

• New LED strip & channel: uniform illumination for food prep
• Neat cabling & concealed driver: accessible, serviceable and out of sight
• Beam aim & colour match: warm tone to suit timber floors and soft palette
• Dimming ready: easy to set a bright prep mode or a low evening setting
