Working with the Gate Installation Team

The gate motor required power to be run from the home's main switchboard to the driveway entrance where the automation equipment was installed.

When the current homeowners purchased the property, they were told there may already be an underground conduit running through the garden, but its exact location was unknown.

Rather than immediately trenching a new pathway, our electricians took the time to investigate whether the existing conduit could be located and reused.

Locating the Hidden Conduit

Using specialist cable and conduit locating equipment, we were able to trace the path of the underground conduit hidden beneath the garden area near the driveway.

Once the conduit was located and exposed, we were able to utilise the existing pathway and run the required cabling back to the switchboard.

Reusing existing infrastructure helps reduce disruption to the property and keeps installations as tidy and efficient as possible.

Powering the Automatic Gate

After running the cable through the conduit, we connected the supply back to the switchboard and installed the required electrical connections for the gate motor.

With power now available at the gate location, the gate installation team could complete the automation system and bring the new automatic gate into operation.

With the system now powered and operational, the homeowners no longer need to manually open and close their driveway gate.
